The safe face of retail cannabis

This is the 1.0 version of the Ontario Cannabis Store logo, and boy does it look like it.

We understand that the brand should feel responsible and safe, but this is too safe in our opinion. There is a friendliness that is lacking in the retro-looking logo. It’s almost as if they’d prefer if they didn’t need a logo at all.

The logo was reportedly designed by Leo Burnett and cost approximately $650,000 to produce.
